However, only 10% of young people between the ages of 10 and 17 go to the dentist at least once a year. Most people prefer to wait until the visible appearance of tooth decay to see the dentist.

Dentists advise young people who have problems with misalignment and crowding of their teeth to accept that they have to wear braces.

In this way, many dental complications can be prevented in the future and the teeth can be corrected in a shorter time.

In support of teenagers comes the initiative of dentists who are preparing for the launch of the campaign “Your smile. Your choice”, a campaign to educate young people about dental hygiene.

Starting from November 1, information actions will be carried out in schools, as well as evaluation of dental problems in teenagers.

The first consultation is free

The program is initiated by the dental clinic Dent Estet 4 Teens, which addresses especially young people with age-specific dental conditions.

The dentists involved in the campaign will offer a free first orthodontic consultation, as well as a discount on the purchase of a dental appliance.

Wearing a dental appliance can prevent cavities and gum disease caused by poor dental hygiene. In fact, because of crowded and crooked teeth, proper dental hygiene cannot be done.

In most cases, caries in young people appear due to unhealthy habits, such as alcohol consumption, smoking, unbalanced diet and excess sweets, intra- or peri-oral piercings, but also long-term antibiotic treatments.
