A new milk formula for young children was launched, which contains a complex of five oligosaccharides structurally identical to those in breast milk.
Oligosaccharides in breast milk are essential components for the health of infants and young children, and new research indicates that they play an important role in the development of the digestive system, by favoring the growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestine and the benefits brought to the metabolism of the little ones. The oligosaccharides in breast milk contribute to the improvement of cognitive functions at the level of cognitive flexibility, memory and language, fundamental processes for brain development. At the same time, oligosaccharides from breast milk help the bone system by reducing bone cortical porosity by up to 50% and increasing mineralization by 8.4%8, and the immune system benefits from the reduced risk of infections, by reducing the load of pathogens.
