Tips for moms: Alternative ways to use cotton at home

Even if you don’t use it often, cotton is rarely missing from your bathroom cabinet.

What you may not know is that the cotton has more uses of those you know.

Let’s see some of them:

Eliminate the salts

When faucets, knobs or other parts of the bathroom and sink start to accumulate scale, soak some cotton in vinegar and water solution and place it on the spots with the salts. Wait a few minutes for the vinegar to work before rinsing with cold water.

With a little cotton you can perfume the whole house.

Make your bathroom smell nice

Place some drops of an essential oil, such as cinnamon or orange, on some cotton balls. Place them in a small bowl and put them on a shelf to make the room smell nice.

In the same way you can make your wardrobes, drawers and even your bag smell nice.

Get relief from the sting

A cotton ball dipped in vinegar or a solution of baking soda and water can provide some relief if you’re sunburnt and suffering.

Disinfect everyday items

Remote controls or switches are difficult to clean. However, they are home to most germs in the home. The easiest way to disinfect is with cotton soaked in alcohol. It removes not only dirt but also germs.

Cotton has many uses.
