Even children who practice sports daily are not safe from the harmful effects of two hours of TV or computer. The research, published in the American Journal of Pediatrics, was carried out by researchers from the Center for Exercise, Nutrition and Health at the University of Bristol in the UK. Comparing the data on children who are fond of TV and/or computers, the researchers noticed that those who play sports cope more easily with emotional problems compared to those who are sedentary. However, they have bigger behavioral problems, hyperactivity being one of them. The authors of the study show that limiting the time spent in front of the TV or computer to two hours has an important role in protecting children’s mental health
